Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Jefferson County Library System to provide the best possible library service to all Jefferson County residents.
Vision Statement: To do this, the Board will:
A. Serve as a center of information for Jefferson County
B. Provide materials in every appropriate format
C. Professionally determine library patron needs and fulfill those needs as space and funding allow
D. Select materials of contemporary interest, classes, current reference and periodical materials, and items presenting different viewpoints and values within financial and staffing abilities
E. Utilize current technology to provide online access to library services and digital formats
F. Create professional relationships with library patrons and the community with excellent and appropriate communication
